Dorothy left Los Angeles and her dreams of being an actress behind forever once her love affair with would be movie producer Douglas Mahoney ended due to his family's interference. After she left, she started a new life for her and her daughter Jenna. She wound up crossing paths with Preston Rhodes and the two fell in love. Preston stepped in and helped her raise Jenna and the two later had a son of their own. Dorothy currently works as Grady's secretary and is thinking about making a change in her career now that Preston is home from war.
