Jackie is the oldest child of Julian and Olivia Kurts. Her father is a police Lieutenant and her mother is a psychiatrist, which pretty much leaves Jackie and her brother John open to doing whatever it is that's on their mind. She is best friends with Lindsay Leveski and spends her time watching Deana's son Zane.
